Hi! I'm Kim. Tech girly turned digital designer.

While I've been drawn to design childhood (starting with building websites on GeoCities and exploring the wonders of MS Paint), I began my career in tech consulting and project management. There I collaborated with business stakeholders, developers, and end users to build IT systems and align teams around big-picture goals.

All the while, design kept tugging at me. In my free time I explored analog crafts like calligraphy and risograph printing, and taught myself digital tools like After Effects and Procreate, occasionally freelancing on illustration and motion projects. Eventually the signs were too strong to ignore. After working on creative projects in an agency setting as a strategist and PM, I decided it was time to fully commit to design.

In early 2025 I left consulting, enrolled in Shillington's intensive design program, and graduated in April, ready to build expressive, intuitive digital experiences.

Today, I blend systems thinking with visual storytelling to design with empathy and clarity. My goal is to make the complex feel simple, and the simple feel delightful.
